The Foxtrot became a popular dance after its introduction in 1913 by a vaudville performer. Harry Fox, quickly pushed out all other “trots,” and the Foxtrot quickly became the most popular dance in America.

It has withstood the test of time, remaining a popular dance to this day. The Foxtrot utilizes walking steps, accompanied by side steps to a tempo written in 2/4 or 4/4 time.
